Vegan/Vegetarian Taste Fest of Louisville 2020
Middletown Seventh-day Adventist Church will host its third annual Vegan/Vegetarian Taste Fest on Sunday, March 8. Guests will have the opportunity to sample over twenty different vegan and vegetarian foods, and receive a cookbook of recipes for all foods presented. Taste Fest attendees will also hear a health talk focusing on some of the health principles that lead to long life including tips on how to successfully incorporate vegan foods into their diet.
Seventh-day Adventists are well known for their focus on health. Research has shown that members who follow the health principles taught by the church live eight to ten quality years longer than the general public. Recently, a study reported by National Geographic Magazine*, ranked Seventh-day Adventists living in Loma Linda, California among the blue zones of the world. Residents of that community include a high rate of centenarians, suffer a fraction of the diseases that commonly kill people in other parts of the developed world, and enjoy more healthy years of life.
Space is limited, so please register in advance by going to FriendlyChurch.com/VTF or calling 502-922-6493. The cover fee is just $6 per person. Duplicate two-hour sessions will be held beginning at 1 and 2 p.m., with groups first sampling prepared vegan and vegetarian foods and then enjoying a presentation on principles of healthy living. Additional vegan cookbooks will be available for purchase.
