COVID-19 Response Update: Increasing In-person Attendance

Last Sunday, May 2, our church board convened a special meeting to hear recommendations from our COVID Safety Committee. Our purpose was to consider how to increase attendance in response to improving COVID conditions in our area. Our board decided to take the recommendations of our local medical professionals, the CDC, and local government and implement the following changes:

Effective this Sabbath (May 8, 2021) we will:

  1. Remove the tape on the "organ side" pews of the sanctuary, and request that those who are comfortable with less social distancing to sit in that section.
  2. Encourage families/households who are already comfortable sitting together to do so anywhere in the Sanctuary.
  3. Increase sanctuary registration space from 50 to 75 people. Our fellowship hall will remain at 25 spaces, with hopes that we might be able to get more in the Sanctuary if spacing allows.

Masks will still be required at all times while inside the church.

As we see the light at the end of the tunnel, we are excited to be having more people worshipping with us each Sabbath.
